Yoga
My Yoga Journey
My Yoga Journey began in 2003 after a snowboarding injury tore a ligament in my right knee. The injury sparked emotional chaos, but deep down, I knew I needed to change my life.
So I surrendered. Ishvara pranidhana..
I cried through my first years of yoga, trembling as my nervous system released years of tension and aggression through asanas. I learned yoga is Grace in Action, not about “just doing it.” Breath became medicine, making me the best healer of myself—empowering and encouraging self-advocacy and accountability.
Though not naturally flexible, my willingness and discipline grew both my body’s openness and my mind’s adaptability. Joy returned, and my body felt incredibly light. This alchemy of cellular lightness is priceless and ongoing.
My yoga, rooted in traditional foundations—the Breath, the Eye Gaze, and the Body shapes (Tristhana of Yoga)—is a path of healthy living and self-realization. Yoga means “to yoke.” Welcome each breath, each moment, and the chance to know your mind.
The Breath
“Ujjayi Pranayama is another tool to add to our box, another practice which encourages the mind to rest its awareness on the present moment, and identify with our immediate experience.”
Eye Gaze
“Monkey eyes, monkey mind.”
Body Shapes (Postures)
“Effort without aggression and relaxation without dullness, that is Yoga.”
What IS Ashtanga Yoga??
Ashtanga yoga is a modern form of traditional Indian yoga, involving a fixed sequence of poses synced with your breath.

How it's practiced
Ashtanga yoga follows a sequence of asanas linked by flowing vinyasas, emphasizing breath-movement connection. Often taught in the Mysore style, teachers guide students individually, who practice at their own pace for gradual progress.
Benefits
Ashtanga yoga builds a strong foundation, deepens posture understanding, and promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
How I teach
I practice the traditional sequence, my main inspiration and source of change. I offer individual modifications because every body is different. What’s easy for me might be hard for you. The postures are just a doorway to the real you, the real practice, the real moment.
